Preparing for try out transformation trail in north east Scotland (either Knoydart or Rum), one of the most remote areas of Scotland. It’s also known to be either very cold or completely infested by midges (mini mosquito’s). Only May and September seem to be suited for our purpose, especially now that sleeping in the open air is part of the experience.
The trip to Mallaig is an experience in itself. First 5 to 6 hours of Potter train from Glasgow to Mallaig with wonderful views along the way. Then by a small ferry from Mallaig to the majestic Knoydart area.
