One of the reasons for the ‘kleine Chef’ experiment was to counter a perceived double ‘confirmation bias’ trend.
One trend being triggered by a, partly life phase driven, gradual tightening of my social bubble. Even though my non-work related social circle is, somewhat surprisingly and due to weakening introversion, growing in numbers the level of diversity of its members stays relatively limited.

The other broader trend being the currently increasing exposure to algorithms, that use past behavior to define the information flow coming my way. Thus confirming earlier convictions instead of broadening my scope.
Submerging myself a different relatively non-connected, non-predetermined environment helps to experience more diversity. ‘de kleine Chefs’ brings diversity in different ways.
Operating a new, service oriented role, whereby the flow of customers is to a large extent not pre-determined is one. The setting in a much more culturally diverse environment with a broad social-economic structure another.
Although it is still ‘early days’ I can already feel the healthy and energy giving power of a broadening range of contacts, views and experiences.
