Small update on small scale permaculture experiment: After 1 year of observation and consideration with Lucas Broens and Maranke Spoor and 1 year of design and first steps in realization with Nanon Varekamp now moving into year 3 with focus on first harvest and next steps.

In parallel investigating opportunities to do this at scale around the city of Utrecht (together with Breathe) where many farmers are under pressure to redefine their future due to (amongst others) new restrictions following the current ‘Nitrogen crisis’. Main issue being a lack of the trust necessary to sustain a transition period that takes 5 to 7 years.
