Preparing for family constellations training in 2020 by reading some of Bert Hellinger’s work (and his critics). Something I have been looking forward to for a while but somehow was not yet ready for.

‘De bewegingen van de geest’ (originally ‘Hellinger Sciencia’ 2009)
Not an easy read but holds a number of valuable pointers on what I will call ‘assisting others from a place of trust and connection by creating (more) awareness and clarity around certain ‘roadblocks’.
Specifically curious to witness the information this practice generates from the ‘field’ and to experience how ’objectively’ this can be mirrored back into the process (well known challenge from the transformational mediation practice).
Also interesting is the principle to halt the assistance once the new insights have landed. Something I understand from my own experience as sparring partner. Enough is enough until asked for more. More can sometimes be dis-empowering and/or related to the ego of the helper.
Nice read on system work in ‘one-on-one’ settings by Jan Jacob Stam en Bibi Schreuder:
